Ingredients
Method
- Chill the glass — Place martini glass in freezer for at least 10 minutes, or fill with ice and water while preparing. Discard ice/water before pouring.
- Prepare the rim — Swipe a thin ring of dark chocolate syrup around the chilled glass, or swirl syrup along the inside for a decorative effect.
- Load the shaker — Add ice halfway, then pour in crème de cacao, chocolate liqueur, vodka, and half-and-half.
- Shake with intention — Count slowly to twenty while shaking. Notice the sound, the coolness, and the weight in your hands.
- Strain and serve — Pour into the prepared glass.
- Garnish — Add a snowfall of shaved dark chocolate on top.
- Zero-Proof option — Replace spirits with chocolate oat milk, splash of decaf cold brew, and a drop of vanilla extract. Prepare the same way. Presence matters more than proof.
- Texture variations — For silkier depth, add ½ shot cold brew. For lighter texture, use oat milk instead of half-and-half.
Notes
Optional variations:
- Zero-Proof: chilled chocolate oat milk, splash of decaf cold brew, drop of vanilla extract
- Texture Note: ½ shot cold brew for silkier depth OR oat milk instead of half-and-half for lighter body
- Mindful tip: Use the shake as a pause. Count, breathe, and let your senses guide you.
